While getting Christmas lights out of my parents’ attic, I discovered that they store decorations in the original G. I. Joe box that they gave me as a present in 1988.  I legitimately got misty for a second.  Win.

My first Mac.  Also, my first computer, period.  The ill-fated Macintosh TV.  In 1993, at the age of 10, I was configuring its TV tuner and hooking up my VCR so I could watch TV and video tapes on it.
They only made 10,000 of these, for good reason.  Most people hated it, but I loved it.  I thought it was a decade ahead of its time, at least in ambition (not execution).

For their school project, these kids asked me how I would achieve world peace.  Apparently, I said “By spreading the gospel of Metal”.

Kyoto Tower reflected in the side of Kyoto Station.  I saw this shot in a travel book once, and I had to stand on top of a recycle bin in the doorway of a convenience store to re-create it.

I know the Rockabilly scene is pretty well-established in Tokyo, but I guess the phenomenon has spread to Kyoto.  Nice to see some girls cutting a rug; I had thought that it was a strictly “dudes only” kinda thing.
